In practice, this means that Councils take measures to ensure their employees can do a good job and produce quality work. These measures include recognising the importance of their employees, helping them to develop their potential, improve their skills and gain greater job satisfaction. By being given encouragement and praise everyone within the Council pulls together as a team to deliver an even better service.

Many of the NOWpeople Councils have achieved full IIP Standard for all their services, others are continuing to work towards IIP in specific areas.
